Difficult Creek Tour

   Named after Difficult Creek, this forested trail offers a gradual uphill and views of Aspen and the valley. After a gradual uphill of one mile, the trail rejoins the magical sound of the running creek. Hiking next to this stream is definitely the highlight of this tour. Return on the same trail. Transportation is included.

Hunter Creek Tour

   Enjoy great views of the Elk Mountain Range and the town of Aspen while meandering through aspen groves and colorful fields. This hike begins in Aspen and climbs into the flat valley of Hunter Creek. Return on the same trail. Transportation is included.

Crater Lake Tour

This hike begins at beautiful Maroon Lake and climbs gradually to Crater Lake. The stunning view of the 14,000 foot Maroon Bells will reward you along the way. You'll learn about the formations of the Bells, native vegetation and a family of beavers that calls the lake their home. Return on the same trail. Transportation is included.

Snowmass Creek Tour

The half-day hike starts near the base of the Campground ski area at Snowmass Mountain. The impressive expanse of Mt. Daly forms a beautiful backdrop for the beginning of this hike. The first few miles of the trail are gradual, passing through aspen groves and meadows. As the trail draws close to Snowmass Creek, we follow the river and the surroundings begin to change. Traveling through woods and open meadows, we are afforded great views of the peaks ahead. Return on the same trail. Transportation is included.

Grizzly Lake

This trip begins with a 4WD ride through the Lincoln Creek valley to our trailhead. This scenic trail takes you along the Continental Divide up to a deep alpine lake located at the base of 13,988-foot Grizzly Peak.

American Lake Tour

This trip to American Lake gives the hiker a chance to see the scenic Castle Creek Valley and an alpine lake nestled among 12,000 and 13,000-foot peaks. The trail ascends 2,000 feet in 3 miles. This fairly strenuous hike is well worth the effort. The shoreline of the lake makes for a great picnic place. The return route is on the same trail.
