Aspen Mountain Snowshoe Tour

Learn about mountain ecology, history, and wildlife on this two-hour naturalist-guided snowshoe walk. Price includes gondola ride, spectacular scenery, snack, hot drink, snowshoes, knowledgeable guide, and basic instruction. Purchase tickets at any lift ticket office. No reservations necessary.

  • Meet at the top of the Gondola on Aspen Mountain

  • Snowmass Snowshoe Tour

    Weave in and out of spruce-fir forests along a mountain stream and learn about the animals that inhabit the Rocky Mountains in winter. Cost includes lift ride, snack and hot drink, snowshoes, knowledgeable guide and basic instruction. Purchase tickets at any lift ticket office. No reservations necessary.

  • Ashcroft Snowshoe Tour

    Discover the Castle Creek Valley on this half day tour. Naturalists share expertise on tracking animals, observing birds, and studying the sub-alpine community. Tour includes spectacular views, the historic ghost town of Ashcroft, a gourmet lunch, snowshoe rental, and Ashcroft trail pass. Reservations necessary, please call 925.5756.

  • Snowmass Mountain Skiing Tour

    Drop in at the Wapiti Wildlife Center at the top of Elk Camp lift and ski a run with a naturalist at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily. Learn about wildlife in winter, avalanches and more. Tours require a minimum age of seven years and intermediate skiing ability. No reservations necessary. Wapiti Wildlife Center and warming hut is open to the public daily.
