As the snow continues to melt here in Aspen/Snowmass, many are beginning to mark their calendars with the exciting slew of events that make the summer season in this mountain paradise both memorable and extraordinary.

With tulips and daffodils lining the sidewalks and talk of skiing corn runs, it is yet another beautiful spring ski season in Aspen Snowmass. With only two-and-a-half more weeks of skiing before all four ski areas officially close for the season, it is time to enjoy spring skiing in Aspen Snowmass.

Each spring, the Budlight Spring Jam is the highlight of the season in Aspen/Snowmass with two weekends full of on-mountain events, free concerts, and parties. Now in its twelfth year, this annual spring-time celebration in the mountains kick-offs on Friday, March 16 with the CORE Party in downtown Aspen, on the corner of Galena and Cooper.

If you did not get enough at the X Games in January, then there is still more excitement to come at the Aspen/Snowmass Open which comes to Buttermilk Mountain later this month.

This time each January, Buttermilk Mountain is bustling, not only with skiers and snowboarders, but also with those setting the stage for one of the most exciting events of the winter season, the Winter X Games. This year the games will be held from January 26 – January 29, a four day extravaganza of big air, big jumps, huge crowds, and fearless athletes.

Kickoff the winter season with a myriad of Aspen Snowmass events this Thanksgiving weekend.
Alpine World Cup Ski Racing – Enjoy three days of cheering on the greatest female races in the world on Aspen Mountain at the FIS Alpine World Cup Ski Race. The event begins Friday, November 25th with the World Cup Kick-Off Party and the Dine Around the World event. Racing begins at 10:15am on Saturday with the Women's Giant Slalom and culminates Sunday afternoon with the Women's Slalom Finals.

The Thanksgiving holiday weekend will be welcome to Aspen Mountain the 2011 Aspen Winternational FIS Alpine World Cup Races. Cheering for the world's fastest female ski racers on Aspen Mountain. Though the actual races do not take place until the weekend, the Winternational festivities start on Thursday, November 24 with what is called the Dine Around from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at participating Aspen restaurants.
