at Buttermilk Mountain, Aspen

X-Games Parking Overview

There is no parking at the X-Games. The way to get to the games is by bus. So the easiest thing to do is go to a free park and ride and take a bus to Buttermilk from there. In the Aspen/Snowmass area, including from the Brush Creek & Highway 82 Intercept Parking Lot, the bus ride to X-Games is free.

X-Games Parking

There will be NO on-site parking available at Buttermilk Mountain during the Winter X Games. Public parking will be available at the Intercept Lot located at the intersection of Hwy 82 and Brush Creek Road, 3 miles west of Buttermilk. Please use the free shuttles from there to get to Buttermilk. Service to the event venue ends at 8:00pm nightly.

Shuttles to/from Buttermilk Mountain

Brush Creek Intercept Lot - 8:00am-8:00pm Designated X-Games buses will operate continuously. Shuttle times are dependent on competition schedule. RFTA Valley buses will also stop at Brush Creek on their regular schedules.
Downtown Aspen - All transit services within the City of Aspen and to the Airport are free. Service between Snowmass Village and Aspen is also free. Designated free X Games buses will operate continuously between the Rubey Park Transit Center on Durant Street and Buttermilk from 8:30am-8:00pm. If you park in Aspen, be sure to comply with parking regulations - see next column for more information.
Snowmass Village - 8:30am-8:00pm Free RFTA services with stops at Buttermilk. Additional evening service will be provided to/from Snowmass by the shuttles from 4:45pm until the end of the events.
Outside of Aspen/Snowmass - RFTA Fare buses are available to Aspen from outlying communities such as Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Carbondale and Basalt. Several Park & Ride locations offer free parking and convenient locations from which to catch your bus. Please note that you must have correct change for fare buses.

Long Term Parking

The Rio Grande Parking plaza in Aspen is located just one block off Main Street, and offers 24-hour covered parking that can be purchased by the hour or day. From the Plaza, the free Galena Street Shuttle provides convenient service to downtown Aspen and Aspen Mountain. The shuttle runs continuously from 8:00am to 5:15pm during winter and summer seasons.
