New Terrain Opening

Today there is a lot more terrain opening on all four mountains. Here is what Aspen Skiing Company's Rich Burkley is reporting:

Snowmass
The Two Creeks chairlift kicks in serving East Branch, Creekside, Cascade, West Fork and Eddy Out. Additionally, Long Shot on Burnt Mountain adds its mileage to the mix. The opening of Two Creeks also provides another portal to the mountain, parking and retail goodness at Four Mountain Sports. Also, the revamped Two Creeks Mexican Café opens for the season! On the opposite side of Snowmass, the Campground chairlift spins accessing Slot, Campground, Wildcat and Bearclaw. Powderhorn is a storm away (as is the Cirque up top) from dropping the ropes.

Aspen Mountain
Bonnie's opens for the season serving the wonderful creations of Brigitte Birrfelder, who grew up on Aspen Mountain (her dad ran the Sundeck for 28 years and the family lived up top).

Aspen Highlands
The Thunderbowl chairlift (derived from the Bond movie Thunderball) debuts for the season accessing all its terrain including Golden Horn, Audacious, Epicure (highly recommended) and Powder Bowl. For parents of AVSC children the Five Trees chairlift also will serve the AVSC clubhouse and those fortunate enough to own a house in the neighborhood.

Buttermilk
The Cliffhouse expands it menu under the leadership of Jim Carter (Cliffhouse Manager) and sizzles up the Mongolian BBQ, one of my favorite meals on the hill.
