Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is a leader in the dance world. With an innovative repertoire directed by some of the most sought after choreographers in the world and a company of ten exceptionally talented dancers, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is one of the leading small dance companies around today. Aspen Santa Fe Ballet produces a year-round calendar of performances in Aspen, Colorado and Santa Fe, New Mexico and tours seasonally around the world. The company is led by directors Tom Mossbrucker and Jean-Philippe Malaty, and has made landmark appearances at the famed Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and the Joyce Theater in New York City.

Location Information
All performances are held at the Aspen District Theatre unless otherwise noted, located in the Aspen Elementary School on Maroon Creek Road. From Highway 82, take the roundabout to Maroon Creek Road. Take the first left into the Aspen School District campus parking lot.

Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s presentation of The Nutcracker is a magical journey not to be missed. Children of all ages will marvel at this sumptuous production with its magnificent sets and thrilling dance with a cast of over 60 dancers, actors, and circus artists. Year after year, families cherish this whimsical holiday tradition.
Momix - Botanica
January 21st
MOMIX's newest full-length piece, Botanica, brings spring to Aspen early this year. Inspired by the mysterious, sensual world of flowers and plants, Botanica invites the outdoors in with magnificent props, costumes and stage design and a beautiful score layered with birdsongs and Vivaldi's masterwork, "Four Seasons". Moses Pendleton's company of dancer-illusionists has been celebrated worldwide for their ability to conjure up a universe of surrealistic images using props, light, shadow, humor and the human body. Celebrate the magical beauty of the seasons with MOMIX's stunning new piece, Botanica.
Aspen Santa Fe Ballet
February 17th - 18th
Back home in Aspen this February, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet premieres a new ballet by the gifted young choreographer Norbert De La Cruz III. A recent graduate of Juilliard's dance program, De La Cruz was discovered by ASFB Artistic Director Tom Mossbrucker during last year's New York auditions. Promising to be a fresh new voice in the choreographic world, don't miss this young talent as he begins his rise. Also on the program is Jorma Elo's lush and dramatic work - Over Glow and one of ASFB's signature pieces, Nicolo Fonte's enduring ballet, Left Unsaid.
