Our family (children ages 20 and 15) came to Aspen for the first time from back East. We had no idea where to book our lodgings. The Aspen Alps was perfect for us. Perfect to walk downtown during the evening; perfect for the double diamonds of Ajax and close to shuttle for Buttermilk and Snowmass. We had a wonderful trip we won't soon forget. Bravo to the experts at Stay Aspen Snowmass and Bravo Aspen Alps. Nice touch with the Wall Street Journal every morning at the door.

Great location with many (though not all) units that are true ski-in/ski-out. Exteriors are somewhat dated, but highly functional. Some units may not be suitable for all visitors as they are located on a steep slope above town. This works fine in the Spring when the roads/driveways are free of snow, and a unit on the lower level might work better in mid-winter.
Interiors are nicely decorated with all necessary amenities, and the two we saw, including the one we stayed in, have been completely remodeled.
One down-side of this property is its proximity to the SKYY hotel. Apres-ski until about 8 p.m., the noise from that property reminded us of the annoying, thumping music played at pool-side in some Mexican resort hotels. Units located next to SKYY and the Little Nell along the lower walkway may experience nightime noise from pedestrian partiers.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and other properties are available slopeside that may be quieter and offer as good or better value.

The location of these condos and more importantly, the service, make this an excellent place to stay. Our condo was right on the slope with a beautiful view and it was ski in/ski out. The unit was spacious, clean, very nicely decorated and had all of the amenitites to make it comfortable. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I recommend having a 4-wheel drive vehicle as many of the units are on a steep hill making it impossible to walk down to the town. The front desk immediately sent a van for any family member needing a ride until 11pm. I highly recommend Aspen Alps as a great place to stay.

Condo was very nice. Great location close to Gondola. Lots of snow. People in Aspen are very nice. Can't wait to go again.
