Downtown Aspen! Excellent location for skiing, perfect location for rugby tournament, excellent service and wonderful breakfast got me going in the morning! Bus and parks across the street. My car stayed in the underground parking. The room was spotless and peaceful. I had several special requests of the staff and they were all accommodated quickly with no fuss. Having hot tubs and masseuses on site was very helpful after a hard day's workout. Quiet and fun place to stay--I have stayed before and will stay again!

Little gem in downtown Aspen! Excellent location, excellent service and breakfast was a delight! Bus and parks across the street. My car stayed in the underground parking! The room was spotless and the awesome oak furniture gave a sense of peace and style--beautiful views of the mountains as well! This gem of would shine brilliantly with updated window coverings and updated carpet of a lighter color, but overall I still give it excellent ratings and value!! Quiet and fun place to stay--I will stay again!

Absolutely loved your hotel. Our room was by far the nicest of our whole vacation. The breakfast was wonderful. We were so close to everything that we just parked the car & walked to shopping etc. If we have the opportunity to visit Aspen again, we would definitely stay at your hotel. The memories will last us a lifetime. Thank you so much for making our stay warm and inviting.

We had a wonderful three night stay. The staff is outstanding and the coffee was good. The cookies placed out in the lobby at 3 PM each day were wonderful. It was a great value in a central location. We met people at breakfast who come there every year and we certainly plan to return.

We read all of the reviews and made our decision to stay at the Mountain Chalet. I am thrilled to say that they were accurate- my wife and 2 1/2yr old had a great time. The staff offered some great advice on restaurants that were 'family friendly' and also some tips on seeing the local sights. The breakfast was wonderful and was much, much more than just run-of-the-mill coffee and danish.
I only wish we would have brouht swim wear because the heated outdoor pool would have been fun.

The staff and owner of the Mountain Chalet are some of the most friendly and accommodating people I have met. It was really nice to swim in a heated pool outdoors after a day of skiing - sit in the wirlpool and sauna. The breakfasts each morning are wonderful and there are cookies, coffee and tea available throughout the day and evening in the lobby. Any trip to Aspen, this is the place to stay.

My family has stayed at the Mountain Chalet for 10 of last 11 years. Many of same guests reurn each year. Location is fantastic. Buses across street to all mountains.
Next to skating rink. Swimming pool and gym. Laundry facilities enable one to pack less knowing washers and dryers are readily available. Short walk to Ajax lifts. The Melville family and their staff makes you feel at home. Ample family style breakfast included. Not nearly as fancy as the more costly hotels, but more than adequate. One of the places in Aspen that is not pretentious.
