Very well located, next to the ski area and Snowmass Mall.
However, steam cleaning of the carpet in the room is long time overdue! In addition the room does not have a table or a desk.

I live in NYC and I know what luxury looks like and this isn't it! To be perfectly honest, the rooms are a bit frumpy and old, and if it's bright and shiny you're after, you best go elsewhere.. On the other hand, it's clean and well cared for, and having a microwave, a fridge and a coffeemaker in the room is a real bonus. You'll pay a modest price but be able to walk 100 feet to the mountain, a perk you'd have to pay double for somewhere else. You're also directly across the street from the free Snowmass shuttle buses and down the block from the ones that whisk you into Aspen (also free). While the rooms may not be 5-star, the service is. Anything we wanted or needed brought an immediate response from the always friendly front-desk staff. All in all, you won't find a better location for what you're paying, and you'll end up coming back every year as I do.

Very convenient to Skiing, Snowmass Village and restaurants. Low cost compared to other properties would stay there again.

Very convenient, nothing fancy, not even a flat screen tv, but right on the slopes. I had family staying in one of the higher end locations, with fireplace, huge flat screen Kitchenette, but not enough beds for our group. This basic room worked out very well! The only downside was having to pay to park.

Second time I have been staying here.
I am a no frills, ski all day long, sleep, wake up, repeat kind of skier.
Best price in town, I would stay here for a third, fourth... time.

The Snowmass Inn can best be compared with a 30 year old roadside motel. The rooms smell, cheap and worn-out furniture, check-in next door: just like a roadside motel. It's the cheapest stay in Snowmass for a reason but it is still only worth a quarter of the price I paid for the room.
The only thing this place has going for it is its location: about 100 feet from the slopes. Really, this place is in need of a gut-job and rebuild.

The Inn was comfortable, convenient, and a great value. Don't expect the Ritz, it is a place to sleep, shower, hot tub, and a quick breakfast in the AM. Super short walk to the Mall to enjoy after ski treats/drinks. Would stay here again.

I was lucky to get a lat min price deal on our room - location to mnt and snowmass village excellent. Quality of room could be better - a bit cleaner, hot water did no always work well and huge draft coming in under the door. I was thankful for the price but would have been annoyed to have paid more.

Room facilities were fine, but out of five day's breakfasts, they were out of oatmeal for 2 days, and tea bags for 4 days. Seems to me that planning ahead can't be that hard.

All tho we enjoyed the balloon fest (the reason for our visit) we were not so excited about the hotel. The wake up service was not working. They were doing construction on the roof. We had driven all night and needed to rest a bit and it sounded like a railroad on the roof. We had 2 rooms and half way through they wanted to move us..NEXT and most importantly the Parking was HORRIBLE . 2 of the 3 person were disabled with no parking close at all...for the combined reasons it would be hard to get us to stay there again...it was a little sad for us its the first time staying in the mountains after being out of the state for the last 5 years. But it was a beautiful view and the ballon fest was AWESOME.

The Snowmass Inn provided a warm and cozy atmosphere. And the convenience of having the mall and shuttle within walking distance was
wonderful.

Stayed in Snowmass over labor day. Generally, customer serv in this town is lacking. When I checked in, the clerk didn't welcome me, didn't smile, didn't explain the amenities, seemed to be bothered, checked me into a room that was already occupied. He did put me into a room with a great view. The rest of the staff was professional.
Also, tried to have lunch at Grill on the Deck. There were 2 waitresses handling the lunch crowd on the patio. I waited 15 minutes w/o service. Finally, another couple came in and was seated and received menus right away. I walked out.

View, location were perfect. HOWEVER: paint peeling, no upkeep of property, beds horrible, sheets scary, pillows the worst; faucets "exploded" when turned on, rug was thin and old. The "free" breakfast was coffee and half-doughnuts. Spend a little money, people! One guy at the desk was very helpful; the other could hardly be bothered.

For the money, this hotel was about the worst I've ever experienced. The carpet, shower curtain, and all fixtures desperatly need to be replaced. It was not well cleaned illustrated by the pair of bibs we found behind the couch that looked like they had been there for several months. There was an unidentified dripping noise and the property is just generally unkept, in desparate need of cleaning and updating. We were very disappointed with our experience and will not return to Snowmass.

We stayed at the snowmass inn during the comedy fest in aspen on the weekend of the 9th, 10th & 11th of march. We were in room 342.
For the amount of money you charge per night I thought the very OLD bedding from the 80's, the paper thin sheets, pillows and blankets (all too old), the smelly carpet and very noisy room were unacceptable. Can't you folks at least update some of this stuff. That bedspread was nasty and old as was the gross pillows that you want me to rest my head on...hmmmm. They had grease stains from the last million guests and only a paper thin pillow case to seperate my head grease from theirs.
Just think for that kind of money year in and year out that room should look like the money you overcharge.
The Comedy Festival was awesome by the way...to bad we dreaded coming "home" to your property.

We look for value accomodations (the poster above used "unpretentious" which fits perfectly) and stayed here in 2004, 2005, and 2006. The Snowmass Inn delivered what we expected - clean, well maintained, no-frills accomodations at a reasonable price for Aspen. The location is central to the Mall, bus transportaion, and the slopes.

An excellent location and an excellent room - a good size, very comfortable, and with every facility that we needed. Breakfast was a bit of a let-down, with far too many people attempting to share a small space and rather over-zealous rationing - are we budget-conscious travellers really that untrustworthy? However, it was functional and free, and once we got over the initial discomfort it served us well. In all other areas the service was excellent. We'll definitely stay there again.

The showers were wonderful! (powerwashers my daughter called them). Maid service everyday. Walked straight up to mall, couldn't be closer. Beds were a bit hard, but we purchased an air mattress and put inbetween beds for my bad back . Rooms were large with a lot of space. Nice closet area, clean, no breakfast at this hotel, but we brought cold stuff and filled frige anyway so it worked out for us. All hotels are expensive, but for being this close, it was well worth it. Will stay here again!
