One of Snowmass Village's best kept secrets. At this bed and breakfast start each morning with a complimentary full hot breakfast in the winter. In the winter ski in for a complimentary hot soup lunch. It is served family style in the dining room, overlooking the ski slope. This 64 room Chalet has a perfect location, ski-in/ski-out, adjacent to the ski school and the Snowmass Village Mall. Hotel amenities include complimentary airport transfers to and from the Aspen/Snowmass Airport and around the Village, outdoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, workout room, meeting rooms and underground parking.

Location Location Location.....for that the Snowmass Mountain Chalet can't be beat.
However the place is really starting to show it's age and needs to really be updated.
We also lost the wi-fi for the last day of our stay.
However if all you do is ski, eat and sleep like we did it for sure serves it purpose.
Room was clean and fairly quiet(1st floor) but as others have mentioned it could be cleaner and doors,bathroom etc are really sub-par.

Great location for ski in/out and access to restaurants and buses from the mall beside it. Decent food, its not fancy but you'll get a balanced meal for breakfast and a light lunch which is all you want for skiing.
Things that should be improved, better cleaning (they don't move anything to clean so lots of food between bed and night stand. Place needs some maintenance, outlets, drywall/paint, and closest door were falling off the wall in the room.
WiFi was out in the hotel for half the 3 day visit...probably wouldn't of wrote the review if it had worked, very annoying. Staff were nice about it, but had no idea how to get it fixed.

Absolutely superb ski-in/ski-out location. Really conveniently located just below the mall, so you can easily walk, or take public transit to all the restaurants in the village. The room is very basic (sheets were not soft) and it could use a little more drawer space (only 4 drawers in the unit I got), but the place is clean and well maintained, and the location is unbeatable. The hot breakfast is also basic, scrambled eggs one day, pancakes the next but works for a one week stay . The soup lunch is really convenient. The wi-fi was very spotty. But overall it is a good value and I plan to return.

Very good service. Very good value. Ski in and out so we had the breakfast(is is very good) skied out. Skied back in for the soup lunch(again it was very good) skied back out. You can't beat this place or price or location.....Thanks

Fantastic place to stay. The staff are super helpful & always friendly. Perfect position ski in/ski out. Close to lifts going down to base camp & close to snowmass shopping mall & bus stops too. The breakfast & lunch are fantastic & will save you loads of money. We flew from Australia & stayed for 16 nights here. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Can't beat this place for value. 10/10 from me.

Best place in Snowmass. You could see the whites of the skiers' eyes from the hot tub and pool. It is that close to the slopes. I felt like I was in Europe with the family style breakfast and delicious soup lunches everyday. Incredible value! The room was totally quiet - all the walls are solid brick. It is very well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of aminities like robes, tea, cocoa, lobby party, humidifier, ski storage, etc. Very convenient to the free buses, and lots of stores and restaurants at the Mall. Free pickup from the airport too.

Front desk personnel were uninformed about area information as tho they were completely new to the area. They were younger than previous personnel and we heard that the owners had changed in the past year. This gives the appearance of a reshuffle of personnel for the benefit of the new owners. All other aspects were good as usual, but these aspects have us, who have stayed here for years, cautious about future expectations.

Excellent stay. a very simple but very clean little hotel , true ski in ski out.
we stayed in very expensive big name hotels on our trip to the US and id trade the lot of them for this one. first time i actually felt like a guest! all the little extras like breakfast, lunch, internet , hot chocolate after a day skiing, and many more make for a very pleasant experience.

I was there to ski - not hang out in a room. Shower head could have been better, but that is my only negative! all in all - great place. We've already reserved for next year!!

Our stay during the JAS Festival was wonderful! It was our first time staying at the Mountain Chalet and we will be back. The price was reasonable, the location near the mall is very convenient, and in the winter it is a ski-in/ski-out property. The family style breakfast that is included in the price of the room was fabulous! The staff is friendly and helpful. Wireless internet is free. Very relaxing and quiet!

We have been coming back yo Snowmass Mountain Chalet for over 15 years. We know of no property with so much bang for the buck. The best full course breakfast in Aspen an it is included in the price. Easy ski in/ski out location. Bath rooms although small have been recently updated with granite countertops and modern fixtures. Lobby has a nice cozy lodge atmosphere. Staff are warm and friendly. You feel like part of a family

I take my three children and one grandchild on a ski trip each year; it was their first trip to Snowmass and my third -- all of us were staying at the Mount. Chalet for the first time. This is an older property so the bathrooms are small and I suppose one could find other minor gripes, but the location, the service, the food and everything else MORE than overcomes any of that!
One other thing...the building is solidly built so noise transmssion between rooms was a non-issue both from side-to-side and above and below; that has been a real nuisance in a lot of places we've stayed. The convenience and quality of the meals is a terrific plus.
