Aspen Saturday Market
Fall's harvest awaits you in the Aspen downtown core for this daytime farmers market and crafts fair.
Snowmass Balloon Festival Logo
The 32nd Anniversary Balloon Festival
One of the highest hot air balloon festivals in the nation, this visually stunning festival sends 30 pilots up over Snowmass for three days of competitions. Friday’s Colorado Rat Race spans the Roaring Fork Valley in a timed distance race. Saturday’s Dawn Quixote competition sends 30 hot air balloons up in the space of a ballfield to joust with large tethered weather balloons. On Sunday, pilots skim low over reflecting golf course pools to aim tennis balls into large tubes. Family fun and brilliantly colorful balloons make the competitions a photographic must-see, as is the Saturday evening balloon glow event, where the tethered hot air balloons twinkle like stars in a spectacular nighttime showcase. All events are free to spectators and launch from the Snowmass softball field.

Oktober Fest Logo
4th Annual Oktoberfest Presented by Grolsch
It’s time to don the Leiderhosen and dust off that beer stein for Snowmass’ popular free harvest celebration. From traditional German music, food, and entertainment to a free concert by gifted singer/songwriter Ruthie Foster, whose rising star is as hot as the flaming fall foliage, the day promises to be a fitting kick-off to the harvest season. Grab a braut and a brew at the beer gardens and let street performers entertain the kiddies. Tuba and accordion players stroll the festival, while D’Miesbacher OIM Taler performs traditional German dances and Steve Rock’s Tanzkapelle Band plays polkas and traditional Teutonic tunes. 12-6 pm.

Ruggerfest
The great tournaments in the world are those that combine a well-run event with a destination you'd travel to even if no rugby was going on: that perfectly describes Aspen's Ruggerfest in the early Fall. An exciting rugby tournament with five divisions of play that appeals to audiences of any age!
