Since 1981, Aspen Trout Guides has taught thousands of visitors the art of fly and spin fishing in the high streams, rivers and lakes of the Aspen area. Our guides will take you off the beaten path to waters unavailable to other guide services. Our philosophy is to teach you skills in angling that you will use the rest of your life! With our exclusive White River National Forest Use Permit #509, you can fly fish areas not available to other outfitters: Frying Pan and Roaring Fork Rivers Maroon, Castle and Hunter Creeks Thomas, Blue, Petroleum, Anderson, Diemer, Seller, Geneva, Little Gem and Terrell Lakes Grizzly, Ruedi and Lost Man Reservoirs. Guests have the option to go one on one with specialized fly casting instructions on all the rivers in the valley, or take a family for a half day spin fishing trip to one of our mountain lakes we have stocked with Rainbow and Cutthroat trout. Also offered are full day trips to private water (lakes and spring creeks) to fish for trophy size Rainbows, Browns, Cutthroats and Brook Trout. All fly fishing Aspen trips include equipment, transportation and professional instruction for all levels of anglers, Graphite fly rods and reels, comfortable Gore-tex waders, felt soled boots.
