Event Description

Snowmass is the place to be for FREE music. Snowmass Village and JAS have joined together since 1994 to give us a summer full of free concerts that everyone is sure to enjoy! Throughout the summer there is a wide variety of musical genres presented, everything from reggae to classical jazz.

Plus triple your pleasure with Massive Music & Movies. On three additional weekends there will be three consecutive evenings packed full of live music and great movies!

Location & Time

The concerts are held at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall on Snowmass Mountain. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit in. Food is allowed in the fenced in area This year alcoholic beverages people are not allowed to be carried into the fenced in area but beverages will be available for purchase in the fenced in area. Dogs and their owners have a designated area on the hillside above Woodrun V.

Music starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.

Drew Emmitt Band
Drew Emmitt, the dynamic lead singer and mandolin player with the popular jamband Leftover Salmon, delivers his signature bluegrass/rock/jamband style on an array of instruments. One of the nation’s top mandolin players, he excels in unique energy driven mandolin licks and his influences include a pantheon of musical heroes including Lowell George, Steve Morse, Duane Allman, John Cowan, Bill Monroe, Sam Bush, Hot Rize and New Grass Revival. Freddy Jones Band

Great American Taxi
Great American Taxi is the brain child of Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman, who brought together this prodigiously talented group of Boulder musicians in 2005. The band, which performs 21st century Americana and already has over 200 shows behind them, delivers a performance charged with rich vocal harmonies and textures, a unique rock-folk-reggae-funk-country sound and clever lyrics.
