Grand Cochon, the epic finale to the 10-city touring culinary competition called Cochon555 will crown its King or Queen of Porc at Viceroy Snowmass on Saturday evening, June 18th. The event brings together the ten winning chefs of the regional competitions and ten pigs for a nose-to-tail culinary showdown. More than 1,200 pounds of heritage pork raised by American family farms will be served to a crowd of 20 celebrity chefs and 400 pork-loving epicureans. Participating chefs include Angie Mar of The Beatrice Inn (NYC), Jorge Guzman of Surly Brewing (MPS), Justin Yu of Oxheart (HOU), Troy Guard of TAG (DEN), Walter Manzke of Republique (LA), Diego Oka of La Mar by Gaston Acurio (MIAMI), Josh Henderson of Vestal (SEA), Jonah Kim of Yona (DC), Sarah Grueneberg of Monteverde (CHI) and Marc Zimmerman of Alexander's Steakhouse (SF) to prepare the 30 best bites from tour in hopes to win votes from the crowds. In addition to the most creative dishes, Grand Cochon will also feature five winemakers, a Ramen Bar with Wines of Germany, a selection of artisan cheeses, sustainable oysters, a Tartare Bar, a Perfect Manhattan and Perfect Margarita Experience, a Tiki Bar, and a Heritage Rum Cart. Space is very limited and guests are encouraged to buy tickets before they sell out. All-Inclusive tickets start at $150 and the VIP rate includes early entry, access to reserved wines, spirits and longer culinary experience.
