The room was very dated, old carpet, furniture, uncomfortable bed. Not what we expected for the price paid. The staff was great and made it a nicer stay but we will never stay there again. It needs
a total renovation.

My wife and I have been returning every year to the Snowmass Mountain Chalet every year since our first visit here in 1998. We have visited and continue to visit many resorts throughout CO and the Snowmass
Mountain Chalet is our benchmark to which we compare all others. Nothing else comes close by comparison. Starting with the ease of getting there, landing at the Aspen airport and the shuttle service to the hotel is stress free. The mountside location makes this resort truly "Ski in/Ski Out". The breakfast is
a great way to start the day. A nutritious meal and an opportunity to meet the other guests is always a high lite of the trip. The convenience of the soup lunch is another great perc. Kicking off our boots and enjoying a bowl of soup is a great way rest up for the afternoon runs. We have already made plans for our 2018 trip. Please do not change a thing. Do not stop serving the meals. And please don't tear the Chalet down.

Hotel was very convenient for the slopes and staff were very helpful indeed. Room was rather dated but housekeeping was excellent with good quality bed-linen and towels changed daily. The only negative aspect was that the 'high-speed' internet was quite poor and at times unusable - no doubt a result of many guests using it. That is why I dropped the overall rating to Good.

We were naïve in thinking a/c and breakfast would be available at this hotel. There is no a/c and breakfast is only available in the winter. We booked an upgraded "superior" room with a view. If we stood
at the end of the balcony to one side, we could see the snowcapped mountains in the distance, but in the winter I assume the view is nicer being able to watch the skiers go by. It's location is terrific for walking to the mall and shuttles/buses. Parking is an issue. There is no parking at the hotel, but rather in lots a couple of blocks away. Hotel personnel was not aware that you CAN park in lots 6 and 5 from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. We were told not to park there at all because it was restricted, but the restrictions were not
explained. Even the local police weren't aware of the details. The bed was very comfortable and sitting on the balcony was terrific. However, a fan in the window used at night to cool off the room also brought in unwelcomed marijuana smoke. Not the hotel's fault there as signs are posted about marijuana use. All the personnel at the front desk we dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Clean, free to and from airport shuttle service, service personel all pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful wonderful ski in and out location is on lower Fanny Hill trail on Snowmass Mountain. Does have a heated pool as well as hot tub, washers/dryers,small gym area, lockers to store skis and poles, serves breakfast and light lunch (during the winter months only) which is included in the price. walking distance to the ski buses which travel to the other mountains as well as the town of Aspen, on a
fairly regular basis, hence a rental car is probably not needed while there. Better suited for couples, singles and small families

Great place to stay. Breakfast and a soup lunch included. True ski in and ski out. The property is not a Westin but it doesn't need to be. Clean, comfy rooms with great hospitality. What a ski lodge should be like.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and courteous.
The free hot breakfast and soup lunch was great and is what sealed the deal for me!
The location is perfect...right on the ski slope and a few steps away from the village mall. I will return.

The accommodations were average and view average. We had BOOKED a king bed room and were given a room with 2 queens. We always book a king since I am tall. In a queen, I must sleep from one upper corner (left) to lower right hand corner in order to sleep. As a result, my wife has no room to sleep in a queen. We were extremely disappointed at check-in. The staff was sympathetic, but said they had given out all the king rooms. Obviously, they gave someone our room and put us in a remaining room. No A/C exists and a window fan unit is the sole source of fresh air in the one small window that opens. If you want the drapes closed for privacy, the drapes block the fan. If you are a person who has hot flashes, this is NOT the place for you. It was easy to exit the room in the middle of the night to walk the dog and area felt safe.

Nice property right on the slopes that has alot of return guests. Enjoyed this over the Westin nearby which is too corporate. Front desk staff was very nice.
Please see the following suggestions:
1- A room safe to store valuables that could be located in a lower bathroom vanity drawer or room drawer.
2- A fan needs to be installed in the bathrooms.
3- The full breakfasts are great except for the canned fruit cocktail out of the 1950's. Please serve more fresh fruit.

A perfect place to spend a week skiing! The staff are welcoming and go out of their ways to help you with every aspect of your visit to Snowmass. The breakfast and lunch services are the best values in town, and the location is perfect for evening trips around the Village or to Aspen proper. Ski in/out is also perfectly located. Overall excellent in every way.

I'm almost tempted to leave a bad review so that others won't come and I can come here whenever I want to, but that wouldn't be right. This was such a great place, like a diamond in the rough. As close to all inclusive as you can get for a very reasonable price, not to mention the perfect location on the mountain with easy ski-in ski-out access to both the lift and the gondola. Steps away from every shop and restaurant on the mountain. I WILL be returning here.

Location Location Location.....for that the Snowmass Mountain Chalet can't be beat.
However the place is really starting to show it's age and needs to really be updated.
We also lost the wi-fi for the last day of our stay.
However if all you do is ski, eat and sleep like we did it for sure serves it purpose.
Room was clean and fairly quiet(1st floor) but as others have mentioned it could be cleaner and doors, bathroom etc are really sub-par.

Great location for ski in/out and access to restaurants and buses from the mall beside it. Decent food, its not fancy but you'll get a balanced meal for breakfast and a light lunch which is all you want for skiing.

Things that should be improved, better cleaning (they don't move anything to clean so lots of food between bed and night stand. Place needs some maintenance, outlets, drywall/paint, and closest door were falling off the wall in the room.

WiFi was out in the hotel for half the 3 day visit...probably wouldn't of wrote the review if it had worked, very annoying. Staff were nice about it, but had no idea how to get it fixed.

Absolutely superb ski-in/ski-out location. Really conveniently located just below the mall, so you can easily walk, or take public transit to all the restaurants in the village. The room is very basic (sheets were not soft) and it could use a little more drawer space (only 4 drawers in the unit I got), but the place is clean and well maintained, and the location is unbeatable. The hot breakfast is also basic, scrambled eggs one day, pancakes the next but works for a one week stay . The soup lunch is really convenient. The wi-fi was very spotty. But overall it is a good value and I plan to return.
